CPR Training

ALC Healthcare CPR Training provides practical, skills-based cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) education designed to help individuals and teams respond confidently in a cardiac or breathing emergency. Our training is hands-on, scenario-driven, and aligned with widely recognized credentialing pathways (including American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross, and ASHI options, as applicable).

Whether you are a healthcare professional, caregiver, teacher, coach, childcare provider, or a concerned family member, CPR training is a critical step toward protecting the people who depend on you.

The Process

CPR Training & Certification Process

Step 1: Confirm Your Requirement (AHA, Red Cross, or ASHI)

During intake, we confirm:

  • Your role (healthcare provider vs. community responder)

  • Your employer/licensing requirement (AHA vs. Red Cross vs. ASHI)

  • Whether you need BLS for Healthcare Providers or a community CPR/AED course

  • Whether you need adult-only or adult/child/infant coverage

Step 2: Registration & Scheduling

After confirming the training type and credentialing requirement, we schedule your session.

You’ll receive:

  • Training date/time and location details (or on-site instructions)

  • What to bring (if anything)

  • Expectations for participation (hands-on practice is required)

Step 3: Pre-Training Preparation (If Required)

Some certification tracks include pre-course components (for example, online modules or knowledge checks). If your course includes a pre-course requirement, we will provide:

  • A link and completion instructions

  • A deadline for completion (typically before the in-person skills session)

  • Guidance on what to print or bring (if applicable)

Step 4: Instructor-Led Skills Session

Your in-person session typically includes:

  • Introduction and safety basics

  • Demonstration of CPR and AED skills

  • Guided practice with coaching and feedback

  • Scenario drills (e.g., adult collapse, child choking, infant CPR)

  • Team-based practice (especially for BLS)

Our goal is for every student to leave knowing how to perform high-quality CPR with confidence.

Step 5: Skills Evaluation (Hands-On)

Students demonstrate key skills during class. Evaluation commonly includes:

  • Proper hand placement and compression technique

  • Correct compression rate and depth

  • Effective rescue breaths (if applicable)

  • Correct AED use sequence

  • Appropriate choking response steps

  • Team communication and role clarity (for BLS)

If a student needs extra coaching, we provide targeted support and additional practice time when possible.

Step 6: Certification Issuance

Upon successful completion, students receive proof of completion/certification according to the training track selected.

You’ll typically receive:

  • A digital certificate and/or certification card

  • A completion date and guidance on renewal timelines

Certification format, provider branding, and renewal period depend on the specific course and credentialing body (AHA, Red Cross, ASHI).

Step 7: Renewal, Refreshers, and Compliance Support

CPR skills can fade without practice. We recommend:

  • Scheduling renewal training before your credential expires

  • Booking group refreshers for teams with high responsibility roles

  • Adding CPR training to onboarding checklists for new hires
